Progress!

With the deadlines I set myself back in February looming at me....I'm still no where near the number of cross-stitch items I need. That's what I get for being a procrastinator(sp). Because of this, my regular rotation shedule is way of whack, so I've left Celtic Christmas on the floor stand and will be working on her any little chance I get. I've seen so much progress being made on everyone else's, so of course, mine has to start screaming at me.
I'm blaming this on the weather! These two hardly ever sleep this close together. Looks like Angel wants to know where her brother is.....(he's a big bully at times)

Update time finally...errr sort of .....!

A dear co-worker is leaving so I filled this clip-art stitched tote bag with a few things to show how much I care. Since I can't find the patch cord for the camera right now, I'll have to update this entry a little later....
I finally took Legolas out to work on him, only to find that his floss bag is missing. I'm telling you people, Legolas is being a pain in my backside! He's doing it on purpose! At the moment he's the oldest of my WIPS. Must be in cohoots(sp) with my cats....they seem to be trying to rearrange items by knocking them on the floor and pushing them about....especially into the middle of my walkspaces......Here's the pendant I picked up for her, I took the picture the morning of the party so I wasn't able to check if it was blurred or not, sorry. It's two intertwinging dragons. I also got her a string of amber but of course, didn't take a photo of it.
I didn't finish this off for her, instead I left a note in the baggie that held this to send me a picture when she figures out how she wants to finish it. This is the only picture I got of the gifts we gave her. Kate's Roses and a giggling turtle!
and last but not least! Kate's turtle cake! I know, doesn't really show up does it? Good Luck Kate! Keep up the mischief! You'll have the Weasley twins hiring you any day now!

Poker Run

The Poker Run was cancelled due to the rain. there was lots of food, but due to the weather not many people showed up. The raffle went alright, though one person had bought 6 strips of tickets, so she won a bit of prizes. The biggest highlight if you want to call it that... is that the drawing for the tv went way and well beyond the expected. The chapter leader's wife won the tv. Never seen her turn so red before. She thought it was a joke. Mothernature wasn't kind today. Hopefully next year she'll let us have the run.

Shiny and Bright Again

Technically this is a four page project, and I have almost three pages done. The two smaller pages for the lower bits of this is almost not worth counting...but eh. I've been working on this while watching my TV programs throughout the last two weeks. Work is still hectic and doesn't look like it's going to let up soon, but I'm hoping that after the Poker Run things might calm down a bit in the evenings at least till I go on vacation next month.

No real stitching this week

This week has been so hectic between the problems at work and we're very busy to boot. Been getting out really late and there's not much time before bedtime to do much. I belong to a group called Rolling Thunder and I spent the last two weeks (actually 4 days all my days off) going around and putting up flyers for the Poker Run/Doo Wop which will be on October 15, trying to sell raffle tickets. The only stitching I've gotten done is the one I stitch while watching my programs. At the moment it's the Shiny and Bright by Gloria & Pat Inc. Progress on something I guess, but not on the ones I'd like to have progress on. :( Once I find the batteries to the camera I'll post a picture. Doesn't look like I'll be getting much done on my larger projects this week either. Oh well Que sera! (or however that goes) :)
