Quiz time!

Take this quiz at QuizGalaxy.com

okay, I got this link from Melissa's blog..... o_O Not bad for a first attempt, but now I'm scared of what may be written if I just sit here and hit refresh....Below is Legolas. I didn't get much done on him. It seems that everytime he shows up in the rotation, something happens. Anywho, he's staying out until I can get him done. Rickman will just have to wait a bit longer. The last photo is of Shiny and Bright. I haven't worked on this in awhile so I dragged it out while watching Season 8, Star Gate Finale. I tried to put the words under the photos, but for some reason this thing won't let me do that. And it's a bit sluggish. I'll cut this a bit short, I don't want to push my luck too far.

She's back

I know she's a little lopsided...I'm tired and I don't care. Getting there. Nearing the last third of the page, slowly but surely!

Celtic Christmas 5

Got the train done and one panel of the dress! I also need to dig out the other spool of gold krienik already. Wonder how many I'll end up using total....hmmm. The more I work on this the more I'm happy with the fabric choice.

I'm getting sick of him again

I so want to finish him off once and for all! There are other projects waiting for him to leave. I thought for sure that once I got to the hair strands and the curvy type way the pattern seemed to go that it would be easy. But no, that doesn't seem to be the case. True I got a lot done, but not as much as I would've liked.

Fairy Flora Week 9

It doesn't seem like I've worked on this for the time I have. As much as I hate to I've got to put her away. I want to keep working on her, but if I do nothing else will get worked on. Oh well, there's always next week!

Celtic Christmas Update

First of all thank-you so much Carol and Jenn, your advice was well appreciated, and may have helped in turning the old mind back on. (Read on for explanation) Jenn, I did check the tiag website the only Celtic lady on the errors page is for Celtic Summer.

I have found where I made the mistake on Saturday evening and it galls me to no end that I spent 2 days trying to figure this out. (and lost an evening of stitching) At the moment my head really hurts with trying to figure out this puzzle. It is supposed to be Fairy Flora's turn in the rotation, but I couldn't let this pass. Good thing. Bear with me here, this is a good one, I was ranting to DH about not finding anything wrong and trying to verbally figure a way to fudge the thing, had an idea, looked at graph to see if it may work and found out that for the last two days my mind had completely shut down. Must have. It was a very blatently obvious mistake. I was counting out four stitches when the pattern called for 5, but I could've sworn it had four squares. I feel like such a goof-ball.

Fairy Flora is now on the floor stand waiting for me to calm down. There is no way I'm stitching at the moment, with my luck I'll mess up somewhere and it would be harder at this point to find a mistake on her.

Celtic Christmas4

I'm a thourghly peeved at the moment. My goal for this session was to get the train done. Unfortunately the goldwork and I are having an argument, don't ask me what it's about, the goldwork won't say. The large loop you see is where the disagreement has taken place, the curly Q won't add up correctly with everything else. But when I go and backtrack the counting and all, the numbers add up. I can't explain why the curl won't do what it's supposed to. I may need to fudge this. (not quite sure how in this instance) I put too much work into this to have to not only start over, but to throw the fabric out. Though I hate saying this but the funds department does not allow for this, which is one reason I went with a fabric I already had buried away. I'm just hoping that someone else who has stitched this piece could give me some idea on what may have gone wrong. I've already checked the tiag website and there is no error listed for this chart. I've spent the entire day trying to figure out what happened. (Even at work I tried to puzzle it out in my head) but no go. HELP

MAAAAAA!!! He's staring at me!!

I think I've figured out why I don't stitch faces first. Ask my mother (if you can find her, :D) I never would eat anything that was staring at me. Don't even put it on the table if it still has it's eyes. In coloring books the face and eyes were done last. This is better than my sister's verson of things.( Also do this when coloring in stamp-work) Anywho....It's getting a little disconcerting having Legolas staring at me while I'm fixing his hair. Whatever happened to the two or more people in a row and each doing the hair of the person in front of them? The youngest got to be in front and the oldest of course in the back. Though I now feel like I'm actually accomplishing something on him, alot of the confetti stitching is complete for now and the rest of the page looks like it may not have very many left. I hope...... ~ . ~

Scatter-brained day at work, luckily didn't miss anything which is amazing in itself considering how I felt. But was quite slow today. Not sure if the rain and icky-sticky humidity had anything to do with it. Of course having quite a few trashed rooms wouldn't help matters either.....

Fairy Flora again

I'll have to scroll soon! Getting close to the bar! I'm extremely happy with Fairy Flora, wish I'd gotten more done on her already, but isn't that about normal? I have a bit of WIPS at the moment and refuse to start another till I finish at least one of them.

Celtic Christmas Session3

I was too tired to post this last night. Tried to get a further away shot to show off the gold-work, since all my attempts for a close-up just didn't do it any justice at all. I had to do a bit of the border just to start marking it off and to add to when I'm sick of the solid red. I'm feeling a bit better than last week, now it's gettting use to the sinus/allergy problems that this time of year brings.....Just lovely ain't it? (sarcasam here in case you didn't catch it) Lots of changes at work and more to come, it's no wonder I'm blanking out. And Carol, in a few days you'll see another update on Fairy Flora, she's being dug out tonight.

Marble was a very naughty cat last night. He tried to get into a window that contained a window fan and knocked it down almost on top of him. Sometimes I wonder if he was given any brains at all. Luckily the window fan is one of the small ones so it didn't hurt him, just scared the bejeebers out of him. So of course he came running and screaming to the bedroom door.......at 5:30 in the morning......

Legolas

This week, I really haven't felt much like stitching, between not feeling well and a few minor family emergencies not much got accomplished. But I felt that if I didn't post what little I did accomplish then it would only make this worse. Gives me something to beat I guess. Hopefully this mood won't affect Celtic Christmas that I'll dig out tomorrow....Sorry for the rambling, not sleeping all that good at the moment and it's starting to take it's toll, so if I seem a bit more flaky than usual you'll know why. :)

Flora once again

Once again, I didn't get much done. Felt horrible the last two days or so. But progress is progress.

Celtic Christmas Session2

Here's my update for the Celtic Ladies SAL, Celtic Christmas in all her minute glory. Sometimes I don't like the way it looks on this fabric, but then again, there's times I love it.

Today I attended a meeting for Rolling Thunder. I will definately be joining. It'll now be a case of convincing my work place to give me the times off I need to be an active member. But it is a good cause, so who knows what kind of finagling I'll have to do.

Legolas

Legolas did not want to leave his little hidey-hole. As you can tell I won the battle. I've finally made some definition for the left hand side of the page, and al.....most halfway up the page. At least his forehead is just about done and the rest will just be hair....
